Naughty By Nature Music Video | ‘Hip Hop Hooray’ As Seen On MTV’s ‘The Buried Life’

The Buried Life is an MTV show which follows a group of lads around the world as they both attempt to complete their list of ‘100 things to do before you die’ and help other people mark things off their own lists.

The season finale of the show was titled Throw a Badass Party and did exactly what it said on the tin. The lads throw a party in a town they’ve never visited before, and get Naughty By Nature to turn up and perform Hip Hop Hooray.

This is the original music video for Hip Hop Hooray, because the short clips of the show left me wanting to hear the full song, and I guessed I wouldn’t be alone on that score.

Naughty By Nature were huge at one point, with this track and OPP being massive hits in the early-1990s. Believe it or not, they’re still together, writing, recording, and performing their music.

JAKARTA (Pos Kota) – Pasca kerusuhan penertiban makam Mbah Priuk atau yang dikenal Habib Hasan Al Haddad, Rabu (14/4) lalu, disesalkan oleh 12 tokoh masyarakat Tanjung Priok. Untuk itu, sebelas tokoh Tanjung Priok yakni Saiful Anwar, TB Romli, H, Masnyur, Yapto Sendra, H Abdul Gani, Syukur Achmi, H. Amir R Tanjung, Yusron JB, Saleh Masyhall, Andi Sabarudin, dan H Adbul Muin mengutuk tindakan anarkis yang dilakukan anggota Satpol PP.

Salah satu tokoh, Sabri Saiman, mengatakan aksi kerusuhan Priok jilid II tersebut, sebagai kekecewaan masyarakat Tanjung Priok. Selain itu juga, pihaknya pun meminta agar tidak memanfaatkan anak-anak dalam tragedi tersebut dari pihak lainnya. Sebab peristiwa berdarah tangung Priok jilid II, telah menelan korban yang sangat banyak, dan tidak semata-mata urusan Mbah Priuk.

Namun adalah akumulasi ketidakpuasan masyarakat Jakarta Utara terhadap praktek Tata Kelola Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok dan perusahaan konglomorasi lainnya. Tokoh masyarakat Tanjung Priok pun, mendesak Gubernur DKI Jakarta, Menteri BUMN termasuk Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono untuk menijau ulang Implementasi Tata Kelola Pemerintahaan dan Tata Kelola Perusahaan. Baik itu BUMN, BUMD dan Swasta Nasional lainnya dengan mempertimbangkan Sotonomi daerah dan potensi ekonomi kerakyatan sesuai dengan pasal 33 dan 34 UUD 1945.

Sabri pun meminta kepada Fauzi Bowo selaku Gubernur DKI Jakarta, untuk segera menertibkan seluruh aparat Pemda yang terlibat secara brutal dan tidak manusiawi.

Sebab Komnas HAM, melihat adanya pelanggaran berat yang terjadi dalam peristiwa tersebut. Bahkan tokoh masyarakat Tanjung Priok, menghimbau kepada seluruh Warga Tanjung Priok, dan Jakarta Utara untuk tidak terprovokasi dan fitnah hasutan dan kpentingan jangka pendek oleh orang lain. Ditambahkan Amir Tanjung selaku tokoh Paguyuban Banten, jangan ada lagi tragedi Tanjung Priok jilid III. Sebab, menurutnya ada pihak-pihak yang diuntungkan dengan tragedi tersebut.

“Seharusnya pihak pemerintah memperhatikan akumulasi kekecewaan masyarakat Tanjung Priok yang memang kebanyakan hidup digaris kemiskinan,” tandasnya.

Nature is a gift from God to us humans so that we can survive. Humans will always need food to survive. Therefore we also need nature and animals. But we humans are always making angry nature. Forest burning, indiscriminate felling trees without reforestation.
With that we should keep our nature. The trick is to not cut down trees at random without any apparent reason, do not burn the woods in vain and so forth. If we violate that, then we will receive the plagues of the Lord to accept the disaster that we do not want. Therefore we apbiula break, we'll hit the disaster.
